プール付きの大邸宅に住む億万長者で35歳、独身、そのうえハンサムなロサンゼルス市警殺人課の警部が、自動車電話や小型テープレコーダーが装備されたロールス・ロイスで事件現場に乗り付け、次々と殺人事件を解決していくミステリー。
