1963年にアメリカCBSで放映された30分のSFコメディ。

火星からやって来た一人乗りの宇宙船が故障してロサンゼルスに不時着する。アンドリューズ空軍基地でX-15を取材した帰りの若い新聞記者ティム・オハラがちょうど現場を通りかかって、中に乗っていた火星人を助ける。ティムはその火星人をマーティンと呼び、おじということにして自分のアパートで共同生活を始める。

主人公の名前がMartin（マーティン）なのは、Martian（火星人）だから
